Radio Winchcombe are fund raising for Sue Ryder! – https://www.justgiving.com/page/radio-winchcombe-2025?newPage=true

Join Radio Winchcombe Presenters (and Arthur the MiniSchnauzer) for the “Sue Ryder Starlight Hike Cheltenham 2025” on October 18, 2025, as we come together under the stars to celebrate the lives of those we hold dear. This special event is not just a walk; it is a heartfelt tribute to individuals who have touched our lives and a commitment to ensuring that no one faces death or grief alone.

Every year, our dedicated Sue Ryder Nurses and bereavement professionals provide compassionate care and support to thousands navigating their darkest days. However, we cannot continue this vital work without your generosity.

By sponsoring our hike, you can help make every step count towards providing expert end-of-life care and grief support for families in need. Just £6 could pay for a patient’s favorite breakfast in one of our hospices. With £30, you could fund an hour of expert care, allowing our doctors and nurses to manage patients’ pain and symptoms effectively. And with £75, you could help provide access to our essential Online Bereavement Counselling Service for someone seeking reassurance, guidance, and support during their time of need.

We are aiming to raise £1,000 for this incredible cause. Your support means the world to us and those we serve. Together, let’s make a difference by donating as much as you feel comfortable with, whether it’s £1 or more, every single penny is donated to Sue Ryder.

Best foot and paw forward!

Thank you!

Mike Sumner (Radio Winchcombe)

And with the Starlight Hike now complete, firstly I’d like to thank you for your kind donations and your unfailing support. Through your generosity and kindness, we have raised £755 and the donations continue to arrive! And every single penny goes to Sue Ryder to aid the incredible work they do. Thank you so much!

Awards

We’ve been shortlisted by The Community Radio Awards as a station of note. Also our very own Nick Mundy is in the running to receive ‘Volunteer of the Year’. Together with Kevin O, Nick is heading to the awards up in Bradford and of course we at Radio Winchcombe congratulate Nick as he’s a winner already in our eyes. Good luck Nick!
