Celebrating 21 Years On-Air

21 years and 21 miles!

Big Breakfast Presenter with Arthur the Minischnauser

On Saturday April 25th, our intrepid Big Breakfast presenter, Mike Sumner will lead equally intrepid walkers from Radio Winchcombe, including Dominic, Jane, Wallace, Ruth, who will be putting their best feet forward on The Winchcombe Way. The Anniversary Walk celebrates Radio Winchcombe broadcasting for 21 years and aims to raise funds for the station and you – the public are invited to join us on any part of the route. [To find out full details of the route please see information at the bottom of the page.]

Mike will be feeding live links during the walk which is estimated to take around 12 hours! You can walk as little as one or two miles up to the full 21 miles and you can bring along your dog too, as long as it’s on a lead.

Mike is hoping to raise as much as £1000 for the station to help pay for running costs. To support Mike’s near marathon efforts you can donate at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/radio-winchcombe?utm_medium=CF&utm_source=CL

We’re also inviting advertisers and local businesses to get involved by sponsoring Mike in return for a shout out on the day. If you’d like to support the 21 miles 21 years Anniversary Walk please get in touch email us at: studio@radiowinchcombe.co.uk
