Roger Philpott

Roger creates programmes of Classical Music as part of the Classical Slot, along with John Brooks and Alan Herod; ‘The Audiophile’ is broadcast on Sundays at 12 noon, and repeated during the week.
He plays some early music through to the 21st century with works that are mainly instrumental or orchestral. He likes to bring listeners a musical ‘surprise’ or ‘joke’ (other than those by Haydn & Mozart) as well as giving air time to composers no-one else has ever heard of!
Roger started with Radio Winchcombe during the early short-term broadcasts of 2011 with readings from ‘The Pickwick Papers’ and the first edition of ‘The Audiophile’ followed in October of that year.
